Each day is approached with dedication and respect, driven by the ambition to create something truly unique. At the heart of this endeavor lies a profound passion for winemaking, reflected in meticulous and thoughtful craftsmanship. The result is organic wines with distinctive character – wines that bring joy and inspire. Tradition and origin form the foundation.
For three generations, the renowned vineyards of Wagram have been cultivated with great care and responsibility. The fertile loess soils of Hohenberg and Georgenberg provide ideal conditions for vines that produce wines with remarkable personality. Sustainability and organic farming are central to this philosophy, paired with an uncompromising commitment to quality. Everything is given the time it needs to fully develop its potential. Nature is treated with respect, and interventions are made only when absolutely necessary. Handcrafting is a core principle.
In the cellar, precision and sensitivity are key to preserving the essence of the grapes. The goal is to highlight the unique character of the fruit and give it space to fully express itself. This results in wines with clear structure and authentic expression – true originals that beautifully reflect the distinctive traits of soil, climate, and grape variety. Each bottle tells its own story and invites exploration.
The Grüner Veltliner from Ried Georgenberg originates from the most prized vineyard of the estate. This pure south-facing site is defined by deep loess soil over ancient Danube gravel. A distinctive Veltliner with impressive structure, depth, and complexity. Multilayered fruit notes blend with fine spicy hints of white pepper on the nose. On the palate, it delights with creaminess, power, and remarkable length.
The grapes are exclusively hand-harvested and carefully selected in the vineyard. Both fermentation and maturation take place in large wooden barrels. The wine partially matures on the full lees and is then aged for an extended period on the fine lees.
This premier site in Georgenberg is characterized by loess soils.
