Ferraton Père & Fils has been firmly rooted in the northern Rhône Valley since 1946. In Tain-l'Hermitage, Jean Orëns Ferraton laid the foundation for a winery that has since combined tradition and modernity. Today, biodynamic wines are produced here that embody the character of the famous Rhône vineyards. Each vintage shows that true inspiration comes from respect for nature and origin – a legacy that comes to life in the glass.
The Hermitage Les Miaux Rouge 2017 is a deep garnet red. The nose reveals aromas of black berries, violets and delicate spice notes. On the palate, it is powerful and structured, with ripe tannins and a long, elegant finish.
Depending on the vintage, the wine is aged in oak barrels for 12 to 14 months.
The Syrah vines for this Hermitage are rooted in calcareous clay, interspersed with sand and covered with round pebbles. The terraces of round pebbles create a terroir that combines power and elegance.
