Ideal with fine pasta dishes, white poultry and delicate fish. It goes particularly well with seafood, creamy sauces and mild, soft cheeses. It is also excellent with fine dishes such as scallops, lobster or salmon in butter – in short, anything that requires a fine structure and elegant flavours.
The Roux family has been cultivating wines since 1885, when they started out with just four hectares in Saint-Aubin. Today, their estate covers around 70 hectares, spread across more than 13 (in some cases up to 15) villages along the Côte de Beaune, Côte de Nuits and Côte Chalonnaise.
These rich sites offer ideal conditions: chalky soils, varied exposures and decades of experience form the basis for characterful wines with clear provenance and great finesse.
A brilliant golden yellow in the glass, with aromas of toasted almonds, delicate honey and fresh citrus notes on the nose. Full-bodied, floral and well-balanced on the palate, with expressive aromas and a round, harmonious finish.
The grapes are carefully harvested by hand. After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place initially in stainless steel tanks, followed by further maturation in French oak barrels.
The chalky soil in this region often lies directly beneath the surface, weathered and mixed with reddish-coloured sediment layers. Compared to the Côte de Nuits, average temperatures in the Côte de Beaune tend to be slightly higher.
