Excellent with pasta with creamy sauces, roasted poultry or fine fish such as turbot. It also unfolds its full elegance with mild, soft cheeses such as Brie or Camembert.
The roots of Domaine Roux date back to 1885, when the first four hectares were cultivated in Saint-Aubin. Today, the family estate covers around 70 hectares in over 13 villages in the Côte de Beaune, Côte de Nuits and Côte Chalonnaise. Diverse locations, chalk-rich soils and intergenerational expertise create the basis for wines with distinctive character and elegant finesse.
The Puligny-Montrachet from Domaine Roux Père et Fils seduces with a delicate aroma of flowers, lemongrass and roasted hazelnuts. On the palate, it is balanced and elegant, displaying a harmonious interplay of richness and freshness – a Chardonnay with classic Burgundy character.
The grapes are harvested by hand. The must first matures for two to six months in French oak barrels before the wine is aged for a further 13 months in barriques – 30% in new barrels and 70% in used barrels.
The Pinot Noir vines for this reserve grow in the thermal region on the Badnerberg on loamy sandy soil – a terroir that combines elegance with power and gives the wine its distinctive character.
