The authentic

Amigne de Vétroz Les Pyramides

AOC Valais
A wine with Roman origins, it presents itself in the glass as authentic, contrasting, yet strikingly harmonious—just like Valais. In this region, where the rugged Alpine world flirts with the softness of the Rhône Valley, a full-bodied wine is born, captivating with its beautiful balance of acidity and residual sweetness.

Culinary recommendation
chevron-down

Perfect as an aperitif, with shellfish, hors d'oeuvres, and spicy dishes from the Far East. An excellent companion to a Valais dried meat carpaccio with olive oil and shavings of aged mountain cheese.

Wine history
chevron-down

The name Amigne is derived from Vitis Amoena, which means "pleasant vine" in Latin. This adjective might be fitting due to its beautiful balance between acidity and residual sweetness. Like Petite Arvine, the history of Amigne dates back to the Roman Empire.

The municipality of Vétroz in the Lower Valais offers ideal conditions with its slate soils, stones, and glacial moraines for our Amigne, which perfectly balances bouquet, body, alcohol, and residual sweetness. The label features the beautiful vineyards of Vétroz.

Tasting note
chevron-down

On the nose, it evokes notes of mandarin and mountain blossoms, while on the palate, it is full-bodied with a delightful harmony of freshness and subtle sweetness.

Vinification
chevron-down

Classic vinification in stainless steel tanks. The alcoholic fermentation is halted before all the natural sugar from the harvest is fully fermented.
