Culinary recommendation

Ideal with fine veal, poultry or mushroom dishes. Excellent with veal fillet with morel sauce or truffle risotto.

Wine history
chevron-down

The Nicolas family has shaped the estate since 1871. On the Catusseau plateau, between Pomerol and the edge of Saint-Émilion, a signature style of finesse and consistency has developed. Today, a well-coordinated team continues the legacy, combining traditional parcel work with modern precision.

Tasting note
chevron-down

Violet, black cherry and plum on the nose, accompanied by truffle, graphite and a hint of cocoa. Silky on the palate with finely woven tannins, juicy freshness and a long, mineral-driven finish; dense but never heavy, with elegant tension.

Vinification
chevron-down

Hand-picked, harvested and vinified separately by plot; separate vinification of the vineyards followed by blending. Aged for around 18 months, mainly in French oak (a high proportion of new wood) to refine the texture and depth.

Around 12 hectares on the Catusseau plateau; a mosaic of blue/loamy clay with iron oxides and sandy-gravelly areas. The combination lends fruit, fragrance (violets/truffles) and the characteristic silky structure.
