This elegant barrique cuvée is an excellent accompaniment to poultry dishes with a fruity component, such as duck breast with quince chutney or roast chicken with honey glaze. Creamy cheeses such as Brie or mild goat's cheese are also excellent accompaniments. For vegetarians, a risotto with roasted pumpkin and caramelised onions will highlight the delicate wood and fruit notes.
Best enjoyed within three days of opening.
Alcohol-free means that the alcohol content is below 0.5% by volume.
In 1994, Roland and Karin Lenz started their winery in Iselisberg (TG) as pioneers of organic farming in German-speaking Switzerland. The beginning was anything but easy, but since 2006, the winery has been consistently organic and is now even Demeter-certified. Over 30 PIWI varieties are grown on around 22 hectares with respect for nature, diversity and the future. The multi-award-winning winery stands for innovation, conviction and distinctive organic wines with a high recognition value.
On the nose, elderflower and ripe quince meet warm, slightly toasted notes of caramel and vanilla – a complex aroma characterised by several months of barrel ageing. On the palate, the cuvée is balanced and smooth, with elegant wood influences and delicate fruit sweetness. A harmonious wine with a long, consistent finish.
Aged in stainless steel tanks, the wine is then processed in the traditional way to remove the alcohol.
The best vineyards in Iselisberg, perfectly suited to the grapes.
