A cuvée that unfolds its full range of enjoyment with dishes featuring lamb, beef, and game.
The Heinrich winery in Burgenland is dedicated to crafting wines that authentically reflect their origin and surroundings. Since 2006, it has embraced biodynamic principles, nurtured vibrant soils, and sought harmony between nature and time. Minimal intervention in the cellar allows for spontaneous fermentation and aging on lees in used wooden barrels. The goal is to create wines with depth and character that bring nature's diversity to life.
The Gabarinza reveals a foundation of warm fruit notes such as rosehip and blueberry, delivering a dense, powerful, and full-bodied character.
The grapes are hand-picked between mid-September and early October. Fermentation occurs spontaneously, with the wine spending three weeks on the skins in wooden fermentation vats. It is then gently processed using a basket press and aged for 21 months in used 500-liter oak barrels.
This wine is named after one of the oldest and most renowned slopes in Gols. The vineyards, facing southwest, are characterized by red gravel terraces from the Ice Age and fine sandy-clay sedimentary soils. This diverse soil profile is harmoniously reflected in the blend of Zweigelt (40%), Blaufränkisch (30%), and Merlot (30%).
