A powerful companion to game, red meat, barbecued dishes and tangy cheeses. Particularly lovely with saddle of venison with pepper jus, braised beef with root vegetables or mature Gruyère; dark chocolate with a high cocoa content also adds exciting notes.
In 1929, a group of winegrowers from the Morges region joined forces and laid the foundations for the Cave de La Côte. Today, the cooperative brings together around 300 producers, some 1,800 plots and 450 hectares of vineyards between Lausanne and Satigny. This diversity gives rise to wines that combine regional heritage with a spirit of experimentation – Gamar’One is a particularly distinctive example of this.
Intense garnet red. The generous bouquet combines black cherry, cassis, prune and wild berries with subtle notes of vanilla and oak. On the palate, it is warm, dense and full-bodied, supported by ripe tannins. The long, juicy finish reveals dark fruit and a subtle peppery spice.
Some of the Gamaret grapes are dried using a method inspired by the Amarone process to naturally concentrate the fruit and structure. The wine is then aged for 14 months in barriques.
The grapes come from carefully selected vineyards within the AOC La Côte on Lake Geneva. The mild lakeside climate, sunny slopes and the region’s diverse soils promote ripe fruit, spice and a powerful structure.
