Pairs excellently with hearty meat dishes such as braised beef, lamb chops or game ragout. This wine also cuts a fine figure with mushroom risotto or a spicy ratatouille. Ideal for anyone who enjoys hearty and enjoyable dining.
In 1994, Roland and Karin Lenz laid the foundation for one of the first organic wineries in German-speaking Switzerland on the Iselisberg (TG). The road was rocky, but since 2006, the winery has been working exclusively organically and is now even Demeter-certified. Over 30 PIWI varieties grow on around 22 hectares – an expression of a forward-looking interplay between nature, diversity and innovation. The multi-award-winning winery stands for distinctive organic wines with character, recognition value and attitude.
The nose reveals dense aromas of dark berries and ripe cherries, underpinned by a hint of spice. On the palate, the wine is powerful, round and full-bodied, with beautiful depth and pleasantly soft tannins. A characterful wine that reveals the signature of the house with every sip.
The fully ripe grapes were dried with their stems and gently crushed by foot. After natural fermentation, the wine matured for a year in oak barrels, where it was able to develop its full expressiveness.
The best vineyards in Iselisberg, perfectly suited to the grapes.
