Culinary recommendation

Muscat pairs wonderfully with mild hard cheese, a delicate cheese toast, or freshwater fish—or simply enjoy it as an aperitif.

Facts
chevron-down

The white Muscat, carefully selected for this wine by Switzerland’s top winemaker of the decade, is a grape variety of Greek origin. It was once common in the Salgesch region. However, after the spread of phylloxera in the early 19th century, Muscat largely disappeared during vineyard reconstruction. In recent years, it has regained popularity and is increasingly appreciated.

Wine history
chevron-down

In Valais mountain villages, it was once tradition to celebrate in honor of the engaged couple and in anticipation of a new community member. But only after the firstborn’s arrival was the cup filled with Muscat to toast the birth. This Muscat wasn’t chosen by chance; its memorable aromas symbolize nature's fertility, hoped to pass onto young women. The grand chalice still graces the label, and Muscat La Fiancée—meaning “the fiancée”—enchants with its playfulness and charm, just like engaged young women and men.

Tasting note
chevron-down

A wine that delights with the signature aromas of Muscat grapes, enticing with notes of exotic fruits and roses. Its delicate acidity and slightly sweet finish promise unforgettable moments of enjoyment.

Vinification
chevron-down

Cold maceration before pressing extracts the valuable primary aromas from the grape skins. This is followed by classic alcoholic fermentation with acidity reduction in stainless steel tanks. A special yeast is used to highlight the primary aromas and, in particular, the characteristic fruitiness of the Muscat.
