The Heinrich winery in Burgenland aims to create wines that authentically reflect their origin and the unique character of their surroundings. Since 2006, the focus has been on vibrant soils and a balanced biodynamic ecosystem. In the cellar, careful and minimal intervention is key. The wines ferment naturally, age on their lees in used wooden barrels, and develop their distinctive character. The goal is to produce wines that embody authenticity and depth, bringing nature's diversity to life.
With its velvety, deep ruby red hue, this local blend of Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, and St. Laurent impresses. Defined by red berry notes and a touch of herbal spice, it delights with its lightness, harmonious balance, and juicy character.
The grapes are carefully hand-picked between mid-September and early October. Fermentation occurs spontaneously, with the wine spending two weeks on the skins in both wooden fermentation vats and stainless steel tanks. It is then aged for over a year in wooden vats.
The Red comes from both shores of Lake Neusiedl. On the western side, the vines grow on the slopes of the Leitha Mountains, rooted in limestone and slate soils. East of the lake, they thrive on the gravelly Parndorf Plateau and the fertile soils of the Heideboden.
