Ojo de Agua was created on an estancia where racehorses used to take centre stage – today, Dieter Meier, Swiss musician and lateral thinker, is writing his wine history there. What he brought to the stage with Yello, he transfers to wine: attitude, rhythm, character. Since the 1990s, he has been committed to biodynamic cultivation in the Pampa Húmeda. Wine, meat, nuts, honey – building blocks of a whole. The ‘winner spirit’ remains alive: uncompromising, genuine and with a beat that lingers – in the glass as well as in the mind.
Deep dark ruby red with violet glints. The nose reveals intense aromas of blackcurrants, plums and dark chocolate, accompanied by delicate herbal notes. Dense and full-bodied on the palate, with ripe tannins, elegant spice and a long, lingering finish – a Cabernet with a clear signature and a powerful soul.
The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks.
The vines thrive in Agrelo Alto, Mendoza, on sandy, mineral-rich soils and enjoy a continental climate with a large difference between day and night temperatures – perfect conditions for aromatic and at the same time elegant and fresh Torrontés wines.
