The perfect companion for dishes featuring beef, veal, game, or poultry.
In 1929, a group of winemakers from Morges and the surrounding areas came together to establish a cooperative winery. Over the years, this community steadily grew as more winegrowers, villages, and estates joined. Today, Cave de la Côte encompasses 1,800 vineyard plots of varying sizes. The cultivation area spans 450 hectares from Lausanne to Satigny, covering a quarter of La Côte’s vineyard area.
A deep red color with cherry and brick reflections. The nose reveals aromas of red fruits reminiscent of raspberries and blackcurrants, accompanied by hints of quince and a touch of smokiness. On the palate, it is smooth, fruity, and delicately accented with woody notes.
The wine is matured in stainless steel tanks.
The wine region is situated on the moraine of the Rhône glacier, where fine silt and clay blend with deposits of molasse, limestone, gravel, and sand. Close to the lake, gravelly soils prevail.
