Grand Stockalper pays homage to Kaspar Jodok von Stockalper, a formative figure in Valais. The Cave de l'Hospice de Salquenen produces Valais wines with character and substance – straightforward, down-to-earth and influenced by the terroir. They reflect the vision, strength and unmistakable soul of Valais.
Ruby red with violet reflections. Cherry, wild berries and subtle spice notes on the nose. Elegant and structured on the palate, with fine tannins, a mineral core and a long, harmonious finish.
The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks.
The vines thrive on warm, stony terraces around Salgesch. The interplay of sun, slate and alpine freshness characterises its elegance and depth.
