During a time when the Belle Époque brought elegance and lightness to Verona, Giacomo Battista Tommasi married Augusta in 1902 and became part of her family. While continuing to cultivate the lands in Valpolicella, Giacomo already understood that wine could be more than just a drink – an experience that enriches celebrations and social gatherings.
Though two world wars delayed his dream, his children carried on the legacy with dedication. Their work shaped the community of Pedemonte, where the family still lives today, passionately preserving the art of winemaking.
Deep ruby red. Complex floral notes. On the palate, elegant with a balanced structure and delicate hints of cherry and jam.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for approximately 12 days. This is followed by a secondary fermentation on Amarone pomace for around 8 days with daily pumping over. The wine then matures for 12 months in 65 hl Slavonian oak barrels.
The grapes come from the winery’s vineyards nestled in the rolling hills of the Valpolicella region. The soil is a blend of limestone, clay, and silt, enhanced by distinctive microclimatic conditions.
