In 1300, a descendant of Knight Heinrich von Heidegg began planting vines on the steep, sunlit slopes around the castle. Over the centuries, Heidegg experienced both glorious times and challenging setbacks. Nevertheless, the castle became the Seetal Wine Castle and later a landmark for Lucerne.
Today, the team at the Heidegg Winery continues the legacy of Josef Zemp. The esteemed and renowned vineyard master of the State Winery shaped viticulture on the castle hill for many years, establishing it as a model for the canton of Lucerne.
A full-bodied white wine with intense, spicy aromas. It exudes notes of blackcurrant and elderflower. On the palate, it is rich in flavor and finesse. The finish is long and smooth.
This wine is crafted using traditional white wine production methods and processed and aged in modern stainless steel tanks to ensure top quality and exceptional taste.
The Sauvignon grapes for this wine thrive on the sun-drenched slopes below Schloss Heidegg.
