Well chilled, it makes a charming aperitif that gets guests talking. It also goes well with cheese platters, crispy rösti with liver, fresh trout or hearty polenta dishes – a wine that likes to get involved and is always welcome.
For Schiller, Pinot Noir is vinified together with a white grape variety from the same plot, with Pinot Noir making up the majority. Apart from that, red and white grapes are not allowed to be vinified together.
In Zizers, on a sunny Rüfischutt cone, Philipp Grendelmeier cultivates around six hectares of vines with a sure instinct – ten varieties, adaptable and full of character. Dry weather, proximity to the mountains and a touch of foehn wind give each wine its individual character. Care, toxin-free cultivation and genuine passion characterise everything – from Riesling-Sylvaner to Pinot Noir. Not just wines, but ambassadors of the Bündner Herrschaft region, proving that honest quality belongs in the glass.
Salmon-coloured in the glass, with a powerful bouquet of wild roses. On the palate, charmingly integrated acidity meets a hint of residual sweetness – together creating a fruity explosion that is more seductive than it appears. A rosé with character and a clear message.
90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks.
Terroir ‘Ochsenweide’ in the Grisons Rhine Valley with deep, alkaline Tomuel Flysch.
