For decades, the Rebbau Spiez Co-operative has been preserving the time-honoured Alpine wine-growing tradition on Lake Thun. With great passion, its winegrowers tend to the highest-altitude vineyards north of the Alps, combining regional craftsmanship with modern winemaking techniques. The result is authentic wines that unmistakably reflect their Alpine origins.
Salmon pink in colour with a fine, persistent effervescence. The nose reveals intense aromas of strawberries, redcurrants and white peach. On the palate, this sparkling wine is fresh, fruity and elegant, with lively acidity, delicate berry notes and a harmonious, long-lasting finish.
This sparkling wine is produced using the traditional bottle-fermentation method and is subsequently aged on the lees. This results in its fine effervescence, elegant structure and complex aromatics.
The grapes grow in the steep vineyards of Spiez on Lake Thun at an altitude of around 500 to 600 metres above sea level. The interplay of the lake, the Föhn wind and the alpine climate ensures long ripening periods, fresh acidity and expressive fruit.
