Wine history
chevron-down

The family-owned vineyard of Matthias and Ilse Gsellmann covers 16 hectares and is located on the northeastern shore of Lake Neusiedl, spanning the prime sites of the villages Gols, Halbturn, and Jois. The mild Pannonian climate provides optimal conditions for the ripening of the grapes, approximately 70% of which are red varieties.

Tasting note
chevron-down

A bright ruby red with delicate, light edges. The aroma is finely fruity, evoking dark berries with subtle hints of cherries and a touch of chocolate. On the palate, the wine is harmonious and velvety, with pleasant tannins and a dense texture. The finish is long-lasting, fruity, and slightly bitter. Overall, it leaves a captivating impression and stands out for its good aging potential.

Vinification
chevron-down

The grapes are hand-picked in September, fermentation takes place in a mash tank, and aging occurs in used barrels.
